The short version

The calculators run entirely in your browser. Your bake time, your guest list and your menu are never transmitted to us, because there is no server to transmit them to. This is a static site.

What is stored on your device

Both calculators save your last set of entries in your browser’s local storage so the page is not blank when you come back. The sourdough scheduler is designed around this — a baker who returns next weekend should land on last week’s schedule with only the date to change — and the party planner remembers which dishes you had ticked. It stays on your device, we cannot read it, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Your numbers may also appear in the page URL so you can bookmark or share a result. That URL is only shared if you choose to share it. The menu you tick is deliberately kept out of the URL so the link stays short.

Advertising

This site carries third-party display advertising. Ad providers may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure and personalise the advertising you see, and they act as independent controllers of that data. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

Where required, a consent notice will be shown before non-essential cookies are set, and declining is a genuine option that does not restrict your use of the calculators.

Analytics

Aggregate traffic measurement may be used to see which pages are read. It is not used to identify individuals and it is never combined with anything you type into a calculator.

What we never do

Children

This site is a set of planning calculators intended for adults doing the cooking and the shopping, and it is not directed at children.

Your rights and contact

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve or delete. If you believe otherwise, or have a question about this policy, get in touch via the contact page.
